Privacy policy

What information reaches us, what we use it for, and how long we keep it. Short, because there is not much to say: the site collects nothing about you until you write to us yourself.

Who is the data controller

Tarnix, a one-person company, VAT no. DK46652819, Vejle, Denmark. You can always write to [email protected] about anything on this page.

What we receive, and when

We only collect information you send us yourself. That happens in one place: the contact form on the front page. There we ask for a name, an email address, a description of the job and optionally how many people will use the system. Whatever else you write in the free text field reaches us too, so please do not put other people's personal details in it.

If you write directly to [email protected] instead, we receive what is in the email and the address it came from.

Our web server logs incoming requests the way any web server does, including IP address and timestamp. Those logs are used for running the site and finding faults, not for following anyone around.

What we use it for

Answering you. We use it to assess the job, ask clarifying questions and give a quote, and if it becomes an agreement, to carry that agreement out. We do not use it for marketing, we send no newsletters, and we resell nothing.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, because the enquiry is a step prior to a possible contract, and Article 6(1)(f), because we have a legitimate interest in being able to answer enquiries.

Who else sees it

The contact form is sent through the Web3Forms service, which forwards the message to our email. Web3Forms therefore processes the message on our behalf along the way. If you would rather avoid that step, write directly to [email protected] instead.

The website itself is hosted with Namecheap, and traffic passes through Cloudflare, which provides the certificate and DNS. Both necessarily handle the traffic going to the site. Beyond that we share nothing with anyone, unless we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

If the enquiry comes to nothing, we delete it no later than two years after the last contact. If it becomes an agreement, we keep what belongs to that agreement for as long as it runs, and accounting records for five years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as Danish bookkeeping law requires.

Cookies, statistics and the demo

The site sets no cookies. There are no analytics tools, no tracking pixels and no embedded content from social media. The typefaces are served from our own domain, so no request goes to Google when you open a page.

The demo runs entirely in your own browser. Nothing is sent to us while you click around in it, and nothing is stored once you close the tab.

Your rights

You have the right to be told what information we hold about you and to receive a copy. You have the right to have anything incorrect corrected, the right to have information erased, the right to have processing restricted, the right to object to the processing, and the right to receive the information you gave us in a common format.

Write to [email protected] and we will reply within a month. It costs nothing.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, datatilsynet.dk.

Changes

If we change anything here, we update the date below. We do not keep previous versions, but you are welcome to ask what was changed.

Shall we find out whether it makes sense?

A half hour conversation, no charge. We look at how you work and say honestly whether there is something to build.
